We are a growing, multi-generational church with a big heart
for people and an even bigger vision for the future. At our
core, Forward Faith City Church is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled,
Kingdom-driven ministry devoted to equipping believers for
both personal growth and global impact.

Bishop George Wordlaw III
Bishop George Wordlaw III is a compelling communicator, prophetic teacher, and apostolic leader with a unique anointing to bridge generations, cultures, and denominations through the truth of God’s Word. With over four decades of preaching and more than 25 years in pastoral ministry, Bishop Wordlaw is known for his fiery yet thoughtful delivery, his theological depth, and his unwavering commitment to raising up strong disciples who know who God is—and who they are in Him.

He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Forward Faith City Church in Brentwood, Californi, a thriving ministry built on the pillars of spiritual authority, community transformation, and Kingdom training. There, he serves faithfully alongside his beloved wife and ministry partner, Lady Valarie E. Wordlaw, cultivating a church family where legacy, leadership, and love collide.

Bishop Wordlaw holds a Bachelor of Science in Theology and is pursuing his Master of Divinity from Logos College. He is also a graduate of the Awakening School of Theology, where he continues to deepen his studies in supernatural ministry, Hebraic foundations, and Kingdom worldview—combining charismatic flow with intellectual fire.

In 2005, he was consecrated to the sacred office of the Bishopric and currently serves as the Presiding Prelate of Faith Assemblies Interdenominational Fellowship, a fellowship of pastors and leaders dedicated to restoring honor, order, and apostolic strength to the Church. He is also the founder of George Wordlaw III Ministries, an international platform that equips churches, leaders, and believers through preaching, leadership training, and prophetic impartation.

He is the author of the spiritually charged and streetwise book Born to Be Wild, with his highly anticipated second release, I Fit, I Function, and I Flow, on the horizon.
​
Bishop Wordlaw has been a respected voice in both sacred and secular spaces, having served in corporate America with distinction. He has received numerous governmental commendations for his leadership, public service, and community transformation initiatives. His passion for people and his prophetic discernment have opened doors to speak across the nation—from city pulpits to conference platforms—where he challenges, comforts, and charges the Body of Christ to rise into their divine identity and destiny.

In 2017, he was appointed Senior Pastor of Lily of the Valley Christian Center in Oakland, California. In 2020, he answered God’s call to plant and pioneer Forward Faith City Church—a church that embodies the future of faith, the necessity of bold leadership, and the power of biblical literacy in a generation in desperate need of truth.

Bishop Wordlaw is a proud husband and father, leading a beautifully blended family with wisdom, love, and integrity. Whether he is teaching on the dimensions of the anointing, confronting cultural compromise, or developing young leaders, he remains a man of the Word, full of fire, deeply relational, and undeniably relevant. Lady Valarie E. Wordlaw
Lady Valarie "Val" Wordlaw is a dynamic communicator, ordained elder, and an emerging voice of healing, inspiration, and hope. Affectionately known as Lady Val, she is a multi-gifted vessel—an anointed teacher, psalmist, and spoken word artist whose ministry transcends generations, cultures, and denominational boundaries.

With an unmistakable grace and a joyful spirit, Lady Val brings the gospel of Jesus Christ to life through her voice, her vulnerability, and her vibrant faith. Whether she's ministering in song, preaching the Word, or simply sharing wisdom from her walk with God, her message is clear: freedom, healing, and wholeness are possible through Christ.

A natural encourager and passionate worshiper, she carries a mantle to awaken authenticity and lead people into transformational encounters with God. Through conferences, concerts, worship gatherings, women’s ministries, and outreach events, Lady Val has touched countless lives.

As a wife, mother, and co-pastor, Lady Val understands the beauty and challenges of balancing ministry, marriage, motherhood, and personal calling. Her life is a living testimony that victory is possible when Christ is the center. She and Bishop Wordlaw are the proud co-parents of a beautifully blended family and continue to champion both the Church and the community through acts of service, compassion, and integrity.
